In case you were wondering, that really weird car on my weird cars index page is a Hyster, once very common in lumberyards in the Pacific Northwest. They have largely been replaced by forklifts, in fact the company that made them is still doing business as Hyster, building forklifts. The original Hysters were built to straddle a stack of lumber and pick it up to be moved around the yard. It has chain drive to the rear wheels.
